If you are experiencing pattern baldness or hair thinning, PRP for hair loss is a great option for you.
What it treats
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) amplifies the natural growth factors your body uses to heal tissue. It stimulates collagen and elastin production, resulting in hair re-growth. Plasma is the liquid portion of whole blood. It is composed largely of water and proteins, and it provides a medium for red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets to circulate through the body. Platelets, also called thrombocytes, are blood cells that cause blood clots and other necessary growth-healing functions.
How it works
At your appointment, we will draw your blood and spin it in a centrifuge in order to extract the Platelet-Rich Plasma. Our registered nurses will then use the 24-karat gold SeruGlow tip or a needle to inject the PRP into your scalp. Researchers hypothesize that PRP could help regrow hair by reversing the process that occurs in androgenetic alopecia. The results are not immediate but they will be seen gradually over time. All PRP for hair loss treatments include a Theradome PRO treatment, which stimulates the base of the hair follicles at a cellular level. Theradome’s advanced laser technology slows and stops hair loss, thickens existing hair follicles, and promotes new hair growth.
