If you are looking for a quick 10-15 minute procedure with maximum results, Botox is the right treatment for you. FOREHEAD

Forehead lines are caused by repetitive muscle movements. Muscles weaken over time and horizontal lines can begin to appear as we age. By treating the forehead with neurotoxins, the muscles will relax and restrict movements such as raising of the eyebrows. Approximately 20 units is necessary for this area.

FROWN LINES

Frown lines, also referred to as “11 lines”, are caused by repetitive muscle movements. Vertical lines between the eyebrows can appear from repetitive scowling and muscles weakening over time. Approximately 20 units are used to treat this area.

CROWS FEET

Smile lines, also known as crows feet, are caused by repetitive muscle movements. Lines around eyebrows can appear from repetitive squinting and smiling. Treating this area will restrict the muscles from moving when squinting or smiling. Approximately 24 units (12 units on each side) are used to treat this area.

BROW LIFT

Neurotoxins relax the facial muscles that pull your brows downward into a frowning or “deep thinking” expression. Additionally, this creates a subtle lifting effect that also carries the added benefit of smoothing away frown lines, the vertical “11s” between your eyebrows. A brow lift is performed to elevate a drooping eyebrow that may obstruct vision. Approximately 4-8 units are used to create this effect.

LIP FLIP &

GUMMY SMILE

Neurotoxins can be injected into the upper lip for several reasons. Relaxing this area can provide a lip flip, meaning that the muscles relax in order to allow the lip to “flip” upward. While this does not “fill” your lips to add hydration or volume, it gives the illusion of a fuller lip by allowing more of the lip to become visible. A gummy smile can be treated in order to relax the muscle and cover more of the upper mouth gums. Typically 6-8 units is needed to treat the upper lip.

BUNNY LINES

Bunny lines are the fine lines that appear on either side of your nose when you wrinkle or scrunch it. By treating this area, the relaxed muscles will be unable to perform the scrunching motion. Approximately 6-8 units are used to treat this area.

KISSING LINES

Kissing lines are referred to as the fine lines that appear around the mouth area. Treating this area is beneficial for people who have fine lines around their mouths when smiling or moving. However, people who have fine lines at rest in this area would benefit from dermal filler rather than neurotoxins in this area. Approximately 10 units are used to treat this area.

TMJ TREATMENT

TMJ, also known as the temporomandibular joint, is the area that connects the jaw to the skull. Pain in the jaw and muscles can occur in this area, and neurotoxins can be used to relax the muscles to alleviate pain. Name-brand Botox must be used for this treatment as it is the only FDA-approved neurotoxin to treat pain. Approximately 30-40 units are used in this area.

MIGRAINE TREATMENT

Migraine treatment is able to be treated with neurotoxins, which are injected into the head and neck muscles to alleviate pain. This treatment is recommended for people who experience 15 or more migraines a month. Name-brand Botox must be used for this treatment as it is the only FDA-approved neurotoxin to treat pain. Approximately 60-150 units are used in this area.
